SCOPE OF WORK PROJECT DATA: TITLE: Deaeration Tank Replacement PROJECT No: 512A5-24-009 FACILITY: Perry Point VA Campus COR: Matt Hargrove P.E., Facilities & Engineering DURATION: 120 days GENERAL SCOPE: The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment to remove and replace the existing deaeration tank in kind. Provide deaeration (DA) tank capable of producing 70,000 lb/hr of de-oxygenated feedwater at 7-9 psi saturated steam pressure. Connections to existing piping shall be made at the nearest available flanged connection, reconfiguration of piping to accommodate new tank system is permissible with approved shop drawing. Remove existing cast iron DA tank feedwater piping and replace with forged steel fittings and cast steel valves. 2.5 and above, welded or flanged. 2 and below threaded sch 80. During demolition segregate waste streams, all recyclable materials shall be recycled to the extend practical. Provide waste manifest tickets for waste to landfill and recycled waste. Match construction and certification of tank in every aspect. The construction certification report has been provided for bidder s information. Include optional pricing for Belzona or approved equal lining Provide U-1A Manufacturers Data Report for Pressure Vessels Replace existing safety devices matching existing. Rebuild and recertify existing safety valves and return to the VA. Provide third party insurance inspection of installed tank with field inspection report and certification to operate. A rental deareation tank is in place currently, the new replacement tank must be online and fully operational by October 9th, 2024 or a temporary deaeration tank must be provided until the stationary replacement is complete. The temporary tank must be capable of providing 40,000 lb/hr deaerated water with 100% soft water make-up. The tank and pump set-up must deliver feedwater at all flow rates at 230 psi.
