Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 5 is seeking to procure Confined Space Rescue Equipment for the Perry Point VA Medical Center. The requirement will support the medical center stay within compliance of mandates by OSHA 1910.146, permit-required confined spaces, sections 1910.146(k)(2)(i) and 1910.146(k)(3)(i) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1670, Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue incidents, current edition section 14; 7.1 and 4.4.2. The Government intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) and award a single Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government under the procedures in FAR 13.106. Market research indicates that this acquisition will be competed under a brand name only Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333923 - Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist and Monorail System Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard: 1,250 employees). The Product Service Code for this action is 4240 - Safety and Rescue Equipment. To be eligible for award, an offeror shall be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at sam.gov, be classified as a small business under the NAICS code 333923 in sam.gov, and be an authorized distributor of Rock-N-Rescue, Petzl, Streamlight, and CMC Rescue products. All interested and responsible parties may submit a quote following solicitation release. The solicitation will be posted to the Contract Opportunities website on or about March 14, 2024.
