This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice. Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 5 is seeking to procure a Mechanical Thrombectomy Peripheral and Central Venous Systems for the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The requirement will be used to remove blood clots from the veins and from the pulmonary arteries. It will support with treating patients who have life threatening or life altering blood clots in the veins or the pulmonary arteries by quickly removing the blood clots and restoring or improving blood flow to the lungs or allowing venous blood flow from the legs. The Government intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government under the procedures in FAR 13.106. Market research indicates that this acquisition will be competed under Brand Name Only Unrestricted solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard: 1,000 employees). The Product Service Code for this action is 6515 - Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. To be eligible for award, an offeror shall be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at sam.gov and be the original manufacturer or an authorized distributor of Penumbra, Inc. All interested and responsible parties may submit a quote following solicitation release. The solicitation will be posted to the Contract Opportunities website on or about January 7, 2024.
