The bidder agrees to perform the work required at the prices specified below in strict accordance with the terms of the solicitation if this bid is accepted by the Government in writing within 120 calendar days after the date bidders are due. BASE BID: Contractor to provide a proposal to include all the necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete all required construction work within all documented areas. Work consists of interior renovations of approximately 2,830 square feet within the area of the GC105 Suite, Basement Floor, Bldg. 1. of VAMCDC, according to Contract Documents (Drawings dated March 29, 2024, and Specifications dated May 8, 2024). ITEM I, ABANDONED PIPES AND DUCTS: BASE BID: Contractor shall remove all existing abandoned pipes and ductwork above ceiling. DEDUCT ALTERNATE: Existing abandoned pipes and ductwork to remain. ITEM II, VAV-BOXES: BASE BID: Contractor shall remove and replace existing VAV Boxes. DEDUCT ALTERNATE: Existing VAV Boxes to remain. ITEM III, ACM REMOVAL: BASE BID: Contractor shall abate all existing asbestos containing material. DEDUCT ALTERNATE: Abatement is not in contract and is required to be coordinated with VA COR and VA Safety. The contract completion time is 150 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. For Information Only: Pre-Solicitation Notice for Solicitation No. 36C24524B0018: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) DC VA Medical Center located in Washington, DC intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed price contract for Construction Services. This project consists of the contractor providing all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to provide the necessary construction services for the Renovation of the Biomedical Engineering Suite GC105 at the Veteran s Affairs Medical Center in Washington DC (VAMCDC) located at 50 Irving Street, N.W. Washington D.C. 20422. Competition for this procurement will be restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). SDVOSB firms that submit bids on SDVOSB set asides that are not verified will be deemed nonresponsive. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The firm must be a general construction firm approved under NAICS: 236220, size standard: $45 million. The offeror shall obtain all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in Washington DC. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the following websites: https://veterans.certify.sba.gov, and https://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. A Joint Venture Agreement (JV Agreement) must be completed at the time of the bid opening and conform to JV requirements. JV Agreements shall be submitted with the bid. Bids will be accepted from only responsible and responsive contractors. There will be a pre-bid site visit for this project which will be held at the Veteran s Affairs Medical Center in Washington DC (VAMCDC), Washington D.C. 20422. All interested parties are encouraged to attend the site visit. The date of the site visit will be confirmed in the solicitation. Prospective contractors may acquire solicitation documents, which are only available in .pdf electronic format by registering and downloading plans and specifications from the Contractor Opportunities website.
