Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this Sources Sought Notice in order to identify sources that have the resources and capabilities to provide maintenance support to the abbott alinity m Systems. INTERESTED & CAPABLE RESPONSES: NCO 5 is seeking responses from businesses that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these support services. The results of this market research will assist in the development of (1) the requirement, and (2) the acquisition strategy (e.g., small business set-aside, full and open competition, etc.). VA assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred associated with the preparation of responses submitted as a result of this notice. Statement of Work Abbott Alinity Service GENERAL: Scope of Services: The purpose of this requirement is to provide maintenance support to the Abbott Alinity m Systems at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The services shall include all parts, materials, tools, software, labor/personnel, and travel to complete the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and system upgrades on the laboratory analyzers. The contract shall include on-site, telephone, and remote support. Location: Washington DC VAMC, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington, DC 20422 SPECIFICATIONS: Service Requirements Equipment Inclusion Model Name Serial Number EE Number Alinity m 371 1325188 Alinity m 735 1329056 Parts Replacement Coverage All parts to perform maintenance service and repairs (preventive or corrective) are included in this agreement. When the system is down and requires parts, the Contractor shall use overnight shipping. When the system is still functional and requires parts, the Contractor shall use next business-day shipping. Replacement coverage shall be included for select normal wear-and-tear items. Software All software upgrades and revisions shall be included in this agreement. Software updates shall be performed as commercially available. Any software repairs to include reinstallation of the software as needed shall be included. Preventative Maintenance Coverage The Contractor shall complete Preventive Maintenance according to the manufacturer s specifications on a semi-annual basis to include all tasks required at that frequency. After-hours Preventive Maintenance coverage shall be included to prevent system downtime. Contractor shall arrange date and time of the preventative maintenance with the contract COR in advance. Unscheduled Maintenance/Repairs All unscheduled/unplanned repairs shall be included in this agreement. On-Site service shall be guaranteed within two days from initiation of service call. Contractor shall provide loaner systems/components/modules as needed for the included equipment. Telephone Support. The Contractor shall provide 24/7/365 telephone technical support. Upgrades All hardware and software upgrades and updates available for the product shall be made available to the Government during this agreement. It is at the COR s discretion whether the upgrade is suitable for the VA.
