Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount: The DC VA Medical Center has requested the purchase of Trackcore RFID enclosures which will be integrated with our existing TrackCore tissue software. The RFID enclosures will provide an efficient method for managing biologic tissue and high value surgical products. The system automatically documents the user, items added or removed, date/time and temperature. 3. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: The Trackcore RFID enclosures are the only the RFID implant cabinets used by the facility that is designed to work with our existing tissue software. 4. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: FPDS was searched. SAM.gov was searched. Internet and SBA Dynamic Small Business Search was also used. Could find only one other firm that was also in sam.gov as an entity that provides RFID cabinets other than LPIT SOLUTIONS, INC. The facility has already purchased cabinets from Trackcore and software in 2018 & 2019 from LPIT SOLUTIONS, INC. LPIT SOLUTIONS, INC is the only firm that distributes the Trackcore RFID enclosures. 5. Contracting Officer's Certification: Purchase is approved in accordance with FAR13.106 1(b). I certify that the foregoing justification is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief.
