Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source in order to identify any potential sources that have the resources and capabilities to provide FireWorks system repair and updates. This requirement is defined primary by existing hardware already in use at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. BACKGROUND Furnish all parts, material, travel/shipping to and from for repair and update to fire alarm system. SCOPE Background: Current Fireworks System is used to relay real time location of the fire alarm device in alarm, trouble, and/or supervisory signal which ensures a rapid and efficient response to a potential emergency. Of 2 existing systems, 1 is not functioning correctly and in of need repair/updating to ensure our fire alarm system is performing to its expected capabilities. Scope: The contractor will fix the locations with no maps. Specific Tasks: Contractor will perform maintenance on the non-working systems. Since the 2 systems are unable to communicate, the system that is not functioning correctly must be clean and loaded with CADS, create the messages and associate those with TSA points in each machine. 1.1 Task 1 Location of non-working systems. Place of Performance: The place of performance would be Martinsburg VA Medical Center. 510 Butler Ave Martinsburg, WV 25405 Contract Administration Data: The Contracting Officer is the only person authorized to approve changes or modify any of the requirements of this contract. The Contractor shall communicate with the Contracting Officer on all matters pertaining to contract administration. Only the Contracting Officer is authorized to make commitments or issue changes that shall affect the price, quantity, or quality of performance of this contract. In the event the Contractor effects any such change at the direction of any person other than the Contracting Officer without authority, no adjustment shall be made in the contract price to cover any increase in costs incurred as a result thereof. Hours of Work: Work required in the performance of the contract shall be performed during the hospital's regular administrative working hours of 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding National/Federal holidays. Federal holidays are any calendar days designated by statute or executive order as federal holidays. Federal holidays consist of New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas.
