This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice. The Washington DC VA Medical Center is seeking an automated Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) probe reprocessor/cleaner/disinfector and neutralization station for the Sterile Processing unit s endo-processing area. The automated TEE probe disinfector must be able to clean, disinfect, and test for electrical leakage. This device should be compatible with all TEE Probe models at the facility: PHILIPS S7-3T, PHILIPS X7-2T, PHILIPS X7-3T, and PHILIPS X8-2T. The neutralization station must neutralize the disinfectant and residue from the TEE automated disinfector before it s disposed. The Government intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government under the procedures in FAR 13.106. Market research indicates that this acquisition will be competed under full and open competition - brand name or equal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. To be eligible for award, an offeror shall be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at sam.gov. All interested and responsible parties may submit a quote following solicitation release. The solicitation will be posted to the Contract Opportunities website on or about April 29, 2022.
