SUBJECT: SOLICITATION NOTICE Waterproof Tunnel to Bldg. 364. Perry Point VA Medical Center Solicitation Number: 36C24520R0127 Date: 08/13/2020 Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Facilities and Engineering Service is issuing a Request for Proposal Notice for a Contractor to supply all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, factory specialists and the disposal of materials as required to repair/modify the pedestrian tunnel that connects Bldg. 19H to Bldg. 364. In addition, construct additional external drainage. Work scope includes, but is not limited to, excavation, concrete repairs, replacement of expansion joint seals, new additional underground piping, new sump pumps etc. as shown in the design drawings. The completed project will stop and/or reroute the leaking of ground water into the tunnel area and eliminate the hazards associated with. Hazmat materials (asbestos and lead) are known to exist on the Perry Point VAMHC Campus. Testing has determined that areas indicated for modification/repair under this contract are negative for ACM/Lead materials. However, contractor shall adhere to best practices working around materials identified as ACM throughout the construction. Magnitude of Construction: Between $250,000 and $500,000. Delivery Schedule/Period of Performance: Ninety (100) calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2020 at 10:00AM.
