Perry Point VA Medical Center This Presolicitation Notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is it a promise to issue an RFP in the future. Date: 06/23/2020 Solicitation Number: 36C24520R0112 Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Facilities and Engineering Service is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for a Contractor to supply all labor, travel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and the legal disposal of waste materials as required to temporarily shore, selectively demolish, and repair/replace concrete structural elements comprising the first floor structure of building 80H. Work scope includes, but is not limited to temporary shoring installation, selective demolition of deteriorated concrete floor joists and columns to reach sound concrete, cleaning and repair/replacement of existing reinforcing steel, soffit (overhead) concrete repairs, formwork and pumped placement of concrete, and other work as shown in the design drawings. Work will occur completely within an existing crawlspace with low headroom/clearances. Contractor shall be certified members of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) and have a minimum of 10 years experience in the field of structural concrete repair and restoration, hydro-demolition, and temporary shoring of existing structures. Magnitude of Construction: Between $1000,000 and $250,000. Delivery Schedule/Period of Performance: Ninety (90) calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7 and VAARS 804.1102, to be eligible for award, prospective contractors must be registered in both System for Award Management (SAM) at https://beta.sam.gov/ and in the VIP database, available at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/. Registration is free; however, processing time should be taken into consideration when registering. Offerors who are not registered should consider applying for registration immediately upon receipt of this notice. Thus, the offeror must be registered in the SAM database at https://beta.sam.gov/ at the time of proposal submission, prior to award, and must maintain active SAM registration throughout the period of performance to final payment. Prospective Offerors must obtain copies of solicitation documents from Contract Opportunities, which may be available on or about July 8, 2020. By registering in Contract Opportunities, the Offerors will have access to downloading plans, specifications and amendments, which will be available only in Adobe PDF electronic format.
