This notice is being issued in an attempt to determine the level of interest among all socioeconomic groups. Responses will assist VA planners in determining an appropriate acquisition and set-aside strategy which best fits VA requirements. This action is to perform market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified (1) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business; (2) Veteran Owned Small Business; (3) Small or emerging small business firms; or (4) large business firms to set aside a single award contract. SCOPE OF WORK: Wilkes-Barre VAMC is seeking to award a five-year Indefinitely Delivery Indefinitely Quantity (IDIQ) contract for ALS/BLS Ambulance and Wheelchair Van services to transport patients including physically or mentally handicapped individuals in wheelchairs and aged and infirm persons, their attendants and personal belongings throughout the Wilkes-Barre VAMC service area. The Contractor agrees to furnish non-emergent, wheelchair van services, 24-hours per day, seven days per week, (to include all federal holidays) for all Bene Travel eligible patients of the Wilkes-Barre VAMC. Performance shall be in accordance with the requirements contained in this PWS and standards of the Pennsylvania DOH, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, and the Joint Commission.
