Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 3 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4, 1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215-1802, intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to Advanced Instruments, Inc for the provision of the delivering of one (1) Micro Anaerobic Incubator consisting of one (1) Anoxomat III Jar Gas 120V System, one (1) Installation and two hours of training by an Advanced Instruments certified technician, ten (10) Jar, Holds 2 Stacks of 6 Petri Dishes Anoxamat, twenty (20) Holder, 9-10 cm Petridish Single Short Stack Stainless Steel, and one (1) Quantity Pricing Available, one (1) Tool Kit, Jar Maintenance (NA Only) . The micro anerobic incubator is used by the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) Microbiology Department to perform a variety of procedures which require the use of a micro anerobic incubator. The micro anaerobic incubator provides ideal conditions for growing these bacteria strains. Equipment will be delivered and installed at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240, Microbiology Lab, Room U2NW108. The equipment component that shall be delivered for this system is as follows: one (1) Micro Anaerobic Incubator consisting of one (1) Anoxomat III Jar Gas 120V System, one (1) Installation and two hours of training by an Advanced Instruments certified technician, ten (10) Jar, Holds 2 Stacks of 6 Petri Dishes Anoxamat, twenty (20) Holder, 9-10 cm Petridish Single Short Stack Stainless Steel, and one (1) Quantity Pricing Available, one (1) Tool Kit, Jar Maintenance (NA Only) . This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit from a single source under the procedures in FAR 13.106-1(b) used in accordance with 48 CFR 13.106-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 1000. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 12:00 P.M., EST, on Monday, December 04, 2023, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
