The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4, 100 S. Independence Mall West 5th FL Philadelphia, PA 19106-2320 intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to PTW NORTH AMERICA CORPORATION of 6 Mars Ct. Unit 5 Boonton, NJ 07005 for the provision of the delivering two (2) microDiamond. Equipment will be delivered at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center 3900 Woodland Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19104-4551. The equipment due to its special design and material properties, shows almost no deviations in absorbed dose to water even in the smallest field sizes, making it a perfect choice for accurate small field dosimetry. The microDiamond detector is a synthetic single crystal diamond detector with near tissue-equivalence. It has an active volume of 3.8 mm² x 1µm. It provides excellent spatial resolution for measuring beam profiles, even in the penumbra region of small fields. This waterproof detector can be used in air, solid state phantoms and in water. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit from a single source under the procedures in FAR 13.106-1(b) used in accordance with 48 CFR 13.106-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334519 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 16:30 PM, EST, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
