THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST. THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. The following information is provided to conduct market research to determine the availability of vendors (large and small businesses) that can perform the work for plumbing upgrades required at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center (WBVAMC). After completion of market research analyses, the Government will determine whether to limit competition by exclusion of sources (set-aside) or proceed with full and open competition. Work to be Performed: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required to install new water lines and perform other plumbing work from the Ground Floor to the 13th Floor of the WBVAMC. Work will include: Replacement of vertical water distribution/returns on all floors of buildings and Ambulatory Care Addition. New risers in building 27, new primary water filtration system, new secondary water filtration at point of use as required by hospital function, demolition of old water risers and horizontal and vertical piping. renovate penthouse tank, upgrade controls system for penthouse tank, and shutoff/isolation valves at appropriate locations. Install new hot and cold-water loops on all floors with distal points as indicated by drawings. The Magnitude of Construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000.000.00. Contractors that have the ability to perform the work for this project are requested to respond with a statement of interest, brief capability statement, and pricing for completed projects of similar scope. Be sure to address if you would perform the work as a prime contractor, joint venture, VA Mentor-Protégé Program, or potential teaming partners. Respondents shall provide company name and address, UEI (SAM) number. Provide business type and size standard based on NAICS code 238220, Plumbing Construction (i.e. Large Business, Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women-Owned, etc).
