Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 04, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. has a new Sole Sourced requirement for Three (3) Vials of 75MG Photofrin (Porfimer Sodium). Priority Healthcare Distribution dba Curascript (LB) is the manufacturer and only distributor of this equipment. These items will be utilized used for relieving symptoms of esophageal cancer when the cancer blocks the esophagus or when the cancer cannot be treated by laser alone. Treating non-small-cell lung cancer that slightly invades surrounding tissues when the other usual treatments are not appropriate. Priority Healthcare Distribution dba Curascript is the only source identified that is capable of meeting Pittsburgh VAMC requirements. This notice is being posted so that any unknown vendors who are capable of providing this item may come forward and express their interest and capability in providing similar items to the Pittsburgh VAMC.
