STATEMENT OF NEED RECESSED WALL-MOUNT DIGITAL CINEMA VIRTUAL AQUARIUM LEBANON VA MEDICAL CENTER BACKGROUND The following is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This posted notice is not a Pre-Solicitation or Solicitation document. The Government is not currently soliciting bids, quotes, or proposals at this time, however, reserves the right to do so at a later date. The Lebanon VA Medical Center, located at 1700 S. Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA, is seeking sources for a potential requirement for four (4) Recessed Wall-mounted Digital Cinema Virtual Aquariums. This is a brand-name or equal requirement. The brand-name reference is eSea . The NAICS Code is 334310. SCOPE OF NEED The Lebanon VA Medical Center is seeking sources for four (4) Recessed Wall-mounted Digital Cinema Virtual Aquariums. The Aquariums will provide CLC residents access to a soothing natural environment designed to reduce mental agitation and increase relaxation. The Aquariums will also provide a focal point for initiating conversations, interactions, and connections in a soothing environment. This requirement is for the Aquariums and accessories only. Installation by the Contractor is not required. Installation will be performed by the facility Engineering Department. The Aquariums should be capable of being operated, programmed and updated without the use of wi-fi or network connections. The vendor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this SON, except as may otherwise be specified. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS LED Monitor shall be professional grade, backlit, 42 class, 1920x1080 resolution. Monitor and playback equipment shall be provided in a single mounting pan constructed out of 16-gauge steel with a ventilated cover that secures the monitor in the pan and requires screws to remove. Pan and trim shall be suitable for both recessed and surface mounting. Exposed trim shall be brushed anodized aluminum. Monitor/playback system shall include a minimum of five hours, without repeat, of sea life content, that shall continuously loop without operator input. Content shall be a minimum of 1920x1080 resolution. Capability of adding additional video content via plug-in module without the need for network or internet access. Recessed mountable into a 48 7/8 x 29 1/8 wall opening and surface mountable. System shall have a fixed wall mounted controller, designed for installation into a single gang box, connected to the system via a 35 plenum rated Cat 6 cable, with terminations on both ends. Controllers shall be able to turn on and off the video and advance the video. For maintenance and programming, the system shall have handheld wireless remotes that shall be able to re-program the system, turn the system on and off, and adjust the sound level of the system, including a mute capability. Vendor shall provide complete installation instructions and operating and programming instruction manuals in English. Training is not required.
