PHILADELPHIA VA MEDICAL CENTER | BIO-RAD PhD REAGENTS Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses capable of providing Bio-Rad PhD Reagents as listed in the below Statement of Need. These reagents will be delivered to the Philadelphia VA Medical Center 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104. It is expected that NAICS Code 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing, will be used for this solicitation. Vendors to this Sources Sought Notice shall demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the Bio-Rad PhD Reagents below. Vendors shall include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Business size. Vendors shall indicate if they are the direct supplier of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at Justin.Erdley@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 pm (ET) on Friday, July 23, 2021. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to Justin.Erdley@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey either. Background: Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) Immunology section performs Helicobacter pylori (H. Pylori), Antinuclear Antibody (ANA), and IFA slide preparation to aid in diagnosis of autoimmune and gastric disorders. This testing is streamlined by automated pipetting, dilutions and microwell preparations which requires instrumentation to complete. Scope: Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service to obtain a Base with 4 Option Year reagent rental contract with Bio-Rad, the most current EIA and IFA processing system, system service, and reagents to perform the processes that streamline immunology testing. Objectives: Tasks: To meet the needs of P&LMS, the vendor would need to provide equipment, reagents, and service under this contract Operational Features- Instrument The capability of being an automated system In-well dilutions to 1 µl of sample The capability of switching from EIA to IFA with minimal instrument adjustments. IFA background with dual-probe hyper-washing The capability of reading EIA plates on this equipment. Small footprint with ability to be placed on the bench top. Support Requirements The vendor will provide an instrument training program for one staff off-site and assist with instrument correlation and on-site training initially for any up-grade to instrumentation that is made during the length of the contract. Provided option to upgrade the instrument if new models or new technology becomes available during the term of the contract Provide delivery, installation, and removal of equipment. Provide system technical support Monday-Friday during normal EST business hours Provides scheduled and emergency system maintenance/ service calls.
