Blood Reagents Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses especially any Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) offerors capable of providing Blood Reagents as listed in the below Statement of Need utilizing NAICS Code 325413 with a size standard of 1250. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal Blood Reagents listed below for the VA Medical Center Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business info and if they are a manufacturer of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at ronald.kline@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 1:00 pm (EST) on Thursday, July 22, 2021. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to ronald.kline@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey either. Statement of Need for Blood Bank Reagents The contractor shall supply immunohematology reagents for the Wilkes-Barre VAMC Transfusion Service and in doing so, a minimum inventory level of reagents will need to be maintained. The Contractor must meet the standards of all licensing and accreditation agencies including the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) standards. The Contractor shall be able to supply the following products: Reference Cells A1 & B Check Cells Antibody Screening Cells (3 levels) Antibody Panel Cells for Antibody identification (10 levels) Anti-A, Gamma Clone Anti-B, Gamma Clone Anti-D, Gamma Clone Control for Gamma Clone (Rh control) Anti-IgG,- C3d (Coombs) PeG Anti-IgG (IgG Coombs) Quality Control Reagents Special Typing products (Anti-E, Anti-e, Anti-C, Anti-c, Anti-K) Reagents will be ordered at the beginning of the fiscal year and shall have a routine delivery schedule. For items with short expiration dates, (reagent red blood cells, QC reagent) delivery should be at least a week before current lot number will expire. Delivery Schedule will be provided to the Laboratory Manager. All reagents received shall have the longest date possible, at minimum 5 weeks for reagent red blood cells and 1 year for blood typing reagent. All reagents should arrive at the Medical center properly packaged (i.e. on ice). The government shall receive full credit for any products that are received outside the storage temperature. The contractor shall provide the government with any information pertaining to product recalls. Products are to begin shipping October 1, 2021. The Laboratory will need the award for Blood Bank reagents to have (1) base year with (4) option years.
