This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are NOT offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The purpose of this sources sought is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified/verified Small businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) 339112, surgical and medical instrument manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is 1,000 employees. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this requirement, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement will depend on the responses to this sources sought synopsis INTRODUCTION The Wilmington VAMC wishes to procure the equipment necessary to utilize a Rezum device. This device treats Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in the clinic rather than the alternative treatment which takes place in the operating room. This scope and its tray for sterilization are needed to utilize the Rezum equipment. Karl Storz brand name is required due to functionality with Rezum system. REQUIREMENTS SCOPE: Hopkins II 30 degree Telescope (#27005BA) SEALED CONTAINER: KSZ-39301BS-ZBZ Must be 30 degrees Autoclavable Must work with the Rezum device 4mm x 30 cm Surgical Grade Sterilization cases must fit scopes (7) Provide on-site training if requested (8) Provide on-site training for the Biomedical Engineering technicians who will be responsible for maintain the devices.
