BioFire PRODUCTS Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses especially any Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) offerors capable of providing BioFire Products as listed in the below Statement of Need utilizing NAICS Code 325413. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal BioFire Products listed below for the VA Medical Center Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business info and if they are a manufacturer of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at ronald.kline@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 pm (EST) on Friday, May 28, 2021. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to ronald.kline@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. Statement of Need Lebanon VA Medical Center Title of Project: COVID BioFire RP2.1 Respiratory Panel with SARS-COV-2 Assay Scope of Work: Vendor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this Statement of Need (SON), except as may otherwise be specified. Vendor shall be responsible for providing reagents for performing respiratory virus testing. This will include 15 kits for the year. Background: Lebanon Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center has a requirement to purchase the brand-name Respiratory Panel RP2.1-Referecnce: 423742, manufactured by BioFire Diagnostics by Biomerieux. Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price, Brand Name Only General Requirement: Lebanon VA Medical Center has a requirement to purchase a brand-name Respiratory Panel RP2.1-Reference: 423742, manufactured by BioFire Diagnostics by Biomerieux. The BioFire Assays are for use with the BIOFIRE Torch System. The Respiratory panel assays are intended to aid in the diagnosis or ruling out of respiratory infections to include COVID-19. On an average, Lebanon VA Medical Center performs about 201-250 Influenza testing per year. Given the new epidemic with the coming winter will increase our testing capabilities. The kits are used in the clinical laboratory. Kits are packaged in assays of 30 single use pouches. Test kits are stored at room temperature until use and are not used past their expiration date. Deliverables:Â Â Â Respiratory Panel RP2.1 Manufacturer- Biofire (no substitutes) Product Number: 423742 Kit size-30 pouches with reagents per kit Quantity-Delivery of 1 kit in September Quantity-Delivery of 2 kits each month from October to December Quantity-Delivery of 1 kit each month from January to August These reagent kits are patented product sold exclusively through Biofire. There are no resellers of this product. The instrumentation is owned and changing instrumentation would require a month-long validation and retraining of employees. Expiration dates shall be no less than 6 months from delivery date. One lot number of products is requested per shipment. Advanced shipment can be requested within the contracted award amount. Delivery: Vendor shall deliver kits once per month to Lebanon VA Medical Center, Building 6 (Warehouse), 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
