The purpose of this amendment is to publish Q&A 2: Q&A 2 The new executive order signed by President Biden increases the minimum wage for federal contractors to $15.00 per hour starting January 30, 2022. The Wage Determination listed in the Solicitation, has a revision date of 12/21/2020 and an hourly rate of $10.95 plus any specific category. Am I to assume that we would need to increase any employee wage rates as of that date, based on the new EO, or is this contract grandfathered in? From what I understand, it is not. Can you clarify how the new Executive Order will affect this contract starting January 30, 2022? The Wage Determination attached to the solicitation is the most current on the SCA website. Next year pay rate Wage Determination will increase according to the new law. This is a pay rate that requires the employer to pay the employees at a minimum. The government cannot tell you what you should be paying your employees but the minimum at this time $10.95 and starting 30 Jan 2022, $15. The quote is asking for pricing for the job, not itemizing the hourly wage of your employees. There is no grandfather clause.
