The intent of this Sources Sought Notice 36C24421Q0558 is to identify any Small Businesses, mainly SDVOSB/VOSB vendors who can provide refrigerator with glass doors as listed in the attached Statement of Need. In addition, we are also seeking any Small Business manufacturers that have the capability of providing this system as well. This is neither a solicitation nor a promise of future work. Small Business, SDVOSB, and/or VOSB manufacturers authorized distributors are encouraged to submit your company s information and capability statement in response to this Sources Sought Notice. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issues an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Potential vendors should respond with their ability to provide the following brand name: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 4, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4), is seeking information and potential qualified sources capable of meeting the Statement of Work (SOW) for a Brand Name or Equal, for the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, PA. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of interested parties to demonstrate to the government that they are capable of providing the equipment or supply that fulfills the required minimum specifications mentioned above. STATEMENT OF WORK The Department of Veterans Affairs, Philadelphia VA Medical Center, has a BRAND NAME or EQUAL requirement for the purchase of three FBG REF 49 PNT CLASS 115V/60HZ Fisher Brand - #FBG49RPGA. Introduction Multiple refrigerators with glass doors are required for our research laboratory, especially for light tissue fixations, extraction of RNA and protein. These glass door refrigerators are Ideal for the demanding requirements of daily use in research laboratories storing non-critical products such as reagents, media, and proteins. These units will replace the 15 year old units in Research that are no longer in service. Proposal to repair them is unreasonable due to the excessive costs quoted by vendors.
