Sources Sought only. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are NOT offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The purpose of this sources sought is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified/verified Small businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is 750 employees. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this requirement, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement will depend on the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center has a requirement for twelve (12) power recliner transport chairs (10 300lb capacity and 2 - 500lb capacity) to be used by patients during infusions. This will be a Brand Name Champion 65 series (66P bariatric) or Equal requirement. Salient Characteristics are: Padded Swing-open arms for patient transfer and cleanability Heat to help keep patient warm and comfortable Wall hugger mechanism, Infinite recline positions for maximum patient comfort Wide arm surface for setting the IV Weight Capacity 300 and 500 pounds(bariatric) Power Recliner/Transporter Ergonomic design Color: Colonial Blue Heat/massage feature Side table Caster wheels Attached IV pole Head protector flap Submission Requirements for responses to this Sources Sought Notice: (1) Your intent to submit a quote for this solicitation when it is formally advertised. (2) Name of firm with address, phone and point of contact. (3) Statement of Capability (SOC) stating your capabilities to meet this requirement. Please include if you are offering the items under an existing contract. (4) A copy of SAM.GOV active registration. Must reflect Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) and Small Business Administration Certification of Small Business Type, (Reps/Certs) (5) A statement addressing your socioeconomic status such as Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Hubzone, etc. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received by 11:00am EST, December 31, 2020.
