SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE VAPOTHERM PRECISION HIGH FLOW MACHINE This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make the appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their Small Business Administration (SBA) size classification in relation to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 622110. The Department of Veteran Affairs, VISN 04, Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center (VAMC department) requests additional units of the Vapotherm precision plus high flow nasal cannula. The facility currently has 3 Vapotherm, and we see a marked increase in their use due to Covid-19. The Vapotherm high flow nasal cannula is an essential tool in combating this disease. This device allows the patient to assess high oxygen flows and decrease the work of breathing in Covid-19 patients. It s also a non-invasive device (NIPPV) that is an alternate device that helps reduce the number of intubations and mechanical ventilation. We are requesting four (4) more additional units to help increase patient demands for the device. More than twenty years ago, Vapotherm invented high flow nasal cannula. Vapotherm high-velocity therapy is an advanced form of high flow nasal cannula, capable of providing ventilatory support clinically proven non-inferior to NIPPV without a tight-fitting respiratory mask. One device can allow hospitals readiness for a broad range of patient acuity, from supporting the oxygenation and humidification needs of COVID-19 patients to hypercapnic COPD patients. Quantity: 4 Delivery: Delivery accepted at VAMC Wilkes Barre, Warehouse, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711; Weekdays 8:00am 4:00pm, excluding any government holidays. Requirements: provide evidence your firm can provide the requested items, to include past and/or current for the same supplies; licenses/ certifications required to fulfill this requirement; and any other compelling evidence to help the Government determine you company s capabilities. and If possible, provide an estimate cost for this service. Will supply the end products of a small business manufacturer or processor made in the United States and explain how your company takes ownership of the supply with any information of what part of the manufacturing process your small business entity participates in the development besides the delivery.
