Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs Wilkes-Barre Medical Center has a requirement to construct a parking structure, Project No. 693-222. The order of priority is established by TIERED EVALUATIONS INCLUDING LARGE BUSINESS CONCERNS: A tiered evaluation solicitation will be issued with the following tiers: (1) SDVOSB concerns, (2) VOSB concerns, (3) small business concerns with HUBZone small business concerns and 8(a) participants having priority; and (4) large business concerns. If award cannot be made, the solicitation will be cancelled, and the requirement resolicited. The project consists of, but is not limited to the following; providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required to construct a new multi-level parking structure in the side of the hill to accommodate approximately 435 vehicles on the existing VA campus of the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711. The magnitude of this VA construction project is more than $10,000,000. The Period of Performance will be approximately 547 calendar days after issuance of a Notice to Proceed. All work on this project shall be accomplished between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $39.5 Million. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held within two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted at Contract Opportunities on the betasam.gov website or about October 15, 2020.
