SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE MEDICAL GAS TESTING for WILKES-BARRE VAMC Need: The VAMC Wilkes-Barre has a need for the Service of Annual Medical Gas System Inspection and Testing for the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical center located at 1111 East End Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, Pa 18711. Purpose of Notice: This is a sources-sought request to identify prospective vendors capable of fulfilling the requirements as further described below: Requirements: Contractor will test the existing medical gas system for compliance with NFPA 99, NFPA 50, CGA, and ANSI specifications and recommendations. The inspection will include all accessible medical gas inlets and outlets that are in current patient care areas. Testing of all medical gas zone shut-off valves for labels, gauge accuracy and external leaks that are in current patient care areas. Actively simulate pressure changes to activate the master alarm signals of area alarms for indicators and gauge accuracy included in current patient care areas. Contaminant testing, particulate testing Oxygen concentration analysis and Inspection of the medical gas source equipment for code compliance. Documentation of all areas is necessary. Test and measuring equipment used by the Contractor in performance of this contract must be calibrated in the last twelve months to a traceable national or international standard such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This Notice: This notice is not for competitive quotes but rather to identify sources capable of meeting the general contract requirements stated above. Responses should be sent to Contracting Officer Cheryl.honick@va.gov no later than 1600 ET, 05/18/2020 and include a capability statement, socioeconomic status (i.e., large business, small business, SDVOSB, etc.) and any supporting literature. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 541380, 541620, 541990 with a small business size standard of $16.5 million. Socioeconomic status must be verifiable in SAM (www.sam.gov) and SDVOSB or VOSB status verifiable in VetBiz (Vendor Information Pages). No solicitation document is yet available. Information received will be for the sole purpose of determining the method and manner of a competitive procurement. The determination of the method and manner based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VAPHS Contracting Officer.
