NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4, 1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215-1802, intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to Cepheid, for the provision of delivering Cepheid Xpert MRSA Assay and Cepheid Xpert C. difficile/Epi Assay Test Kits at Lebanon VA Medical Center (LVAMC) located in Lebanon, PA. The proposed delivery will include six (6) Contract Line Item Number: (1) Xpert MRSA Test Kits (350 each); (2) Xpert C. difficile/Epi Test Kits (70 each); (3) Xpert CT/NG Assay Kit (120 each); (4) Xpert SA Nasal Complete Assay Kit (50 each); (5) Xpert Xpress FLU/RSV Assay Kit (150 each); and (6) Xpert Strep A (24 each). This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the procedures in FAR 13.5 used in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 325413 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 4:30 P.M., EST, on Thursday, September 03, 2020, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
