Statement of Need Washer Disinfector (Brand Name or Equal to In Accordance with 52.204-4) Introduction: The Department of Veteran Affairs Wilkes-Barre Medical Center s, Sterile Processing Service has a requirement for One (1) Washer/Disinfector to provide the necessary automated washing and thermal disinfection as recommended in manufacturer s instructions for Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) at the medical facility. Requirements: Unit capable of providing automated cleaning and thermal disinfection of Reusable Medical Surgical Instruments and utensils Automatic Load/Unload Kit for wash carts Auto Load/Unload Conveyor with motor-driven rollers with capability of holding up to 2 wash carts simultaneously 3-level wash bay and cart (capacity of 26.5 W x 30.5 H x 40 L) capability with removable shelves, spray arms and integrated spray arm blocking plates for easy cleaning and maintenance 3-level wash bay and cart (capacity of 26.5 W x 30.5 H x 40 L) prepared for up to six connections for cannulated instruments Pass-Through Chamber with double interlocked hatch windows to provide an integral barrier wall system allowing the safe and efficient transfer of items between soiled and clean side of service Rotating Spray Arms between each level of items User-Centric controls and ergonomic accessories Water fill features Dryer heat exchanger Install and removal of old system Must provide installation and removal of old system during weekend/after hours of operation of SPS ( after 8PM week days; Saturday or Sunday) Delivery: Delivery accepted at VAMC Wilkes Barre, Warehouse, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711; Weekdays 8:00am 4:00pm, excluding any government holidays.
