AMENDMENT/QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS TO SOLICITATION: QUESTION: 1) In Amendment 4, it states in the SOW that WIFI is not needed as the radios cannot connect to the VA network, however in the CLIN lines, line 006 says to add WIFI. Can you confirm we can delete CLIN 0006? ANSWER: That having out of the box WiFi in CLIN 006 would require QA9001 for that WiFi to be functional, but we actually don t want the WiFi as the radios would not be able to connect to our network anyway. We could drop that CLIN if it causes confusion, but I thought it was a standard feature that didn t cost anything. QUESTION: 2) I scanned all over the documents and I do not see a request for programming. Do we need to include a cost to program these 27 radios? Succinct answer is that yes, we would need to include programming as part of the bids. Frequencies that need to be programmed could be provided after the contract is awarded.
