Statement of Need: OrthoPulse Ultra 100 Erie VAMC (562) The Erie VA Medical Center requires brand name OrthoPulse Ultra 100 Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT) machine. End-User/Facility POC: Whole Health/Jeff Wagner Acquisition Utilization Specialist: Tony Cuzzola Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Erie VA Medical Center has a Brand Name or Equal requirement for an OrthoPulse Ultra 100 Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT) machine. This requirement will treat multiple conditions from which our veterans suffer including, but not limited to, acute and chronic pain in regions such as the Foot, Heel, Elbow, Shoulder, Back, Pelvis, Hip, and Neck, as well as the symptoms that structural dysfunction in these regions can produce. Salient Features: Shall have a minimum pressure range of 0.3 bar and a maximum of 5 bar Shall have a maximum penetration depth of 60 mm Shall have a minimum frequency range of 1 Hz and a maximum of 21 Hz Shall have capability for interchangeable transmitter/applicator tips Shall have V-Actor Vibration Therapy with a range of 1 - 31 Hz Device/Compressor dimensions shall not exceed (H x W x D): 7 x 14 x 14 inches Shall be FDA approved for the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain Training and Installation: Training and installation not required. Security & Privacy: The Certification & Accreditation (C&A) requirements of VHA Handbook 6500.6 do not apply to this requirement; therefore, a Security Accreditation package is not required. No C&A or MOU/ISA is required. Sensitive information exposure as part of this contract involves applicable security controls within the facility as part of the VA Information Security Program.
