Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential small businesses, especially Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses capable of providing the items as listed in the Statement of Need. NAICS Code 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. These items are for the Department of Veteran Affairs, Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Statement of Need VAMC-WB determined the need for: TFN-ADVANCED Proximal Femoral Nailing System and Distal Radius Plate Instrument and Implant Set TFN-ADVANCED Proximal Femoral Nailing System is designed to solve a wide range of unmet needs for surgeons, Operating Room (OR) staff and administrators. This system offers advancement in hip fracture treatment, including outcome-based design, reduced procedural complexity, and comprehensive surgical options. TFN-Advanced Proximal Femoral Nailing System is intended for treatment of fractures in adults. Specifically, the system is indicated for: stable and unstable per trochanteric fractures; intertrochanteric fractures; basal neck fractures; combinations of per trochanteric, intertrochanteric, and basal neck fractures. The Distal Radius Plates are for fixation of fractures, and osteotomies including carpal fusions involving the distal radius. These sets are required for our Orthopedic Surgeons to complete total joint replacements. They are essential in allowing the Wilkes-Barre VAMC avoid OR diversions as it will enable the OR to maintain a complete set that is most commonly utilized within the OR.
