Wilkes-Barre VAMC, (693) is seeking SDVOSB/VOSB and any SBC regardless of Socio-economic category or any large business that can provide the following : purchase KARL STORZ Video Equipment (IMAGE1 S 4K camera heads, 4K Monitors, CCUs, Light Source, Image Capture Software, Video Carts and HOPKINS II Scopes) Refer to the Statement of Need and line item descriptions below. This is a brand name only requirement any vendor wishing to quote this requirement must be certified by Karl Storz to provide and install equipment. The items should be delivered to Wilkes-Barre VAMC. The veteran business must be registered in SAM and certified in VETBIZ (VIP). The small businesses must be registered in SAM. All Vendors interested in, and with the capability and capacity to fulfill this requirement, are required to furnish the following minimum information in reply to this sources sought: Company Name, , address, Government Business Point of Contact, telephone number and email address. Statement of Need for: KARL STORZ Video System Upgrade Introduction The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, Supervisory Administrative Officer WBVAMC, Surgical Service has determined the need to purchase KARL STORZ Video Equipment (IMAGE1 S 4K camera heads, 4K Monitors, CCUs, Light Source, Image Capture Software, Video Carts and HOPKINS II Scopes) Justification: The current KARL STORZ Laparoscopic systems are 7 years old and are reaching their End Of Life. (EOL letters on file) We need two systems to replace/upgrade our current inventory. These systems are mission critical for offering the standard of care in many minimally invasive procedures that are common today. The IMAGE1 S platform with forward and backward compatibility built into their imaging platforms allows the VA the benefit of utilizing some of the older components with the new technology during the transition. Instead of purchasing a whole new system, we can simply purchase the Connect (Brain) and link modules (the Blade ) based on the technology needs. The requested platforms are the newest technology in the marketplace (4K imaging), this is emerging technology that offers the best viewing quality that Karl Storz technology offers, with an expandable architecture platform as technology continues to change. Requirements: Requirements of the item/service. The Video platform must be a modular design to accommodate expansion of future technology upgrade such as ICG, 3D, & latest technology. Must be compatible with the existing Karl Storz system, camera and equipment to ensure continuity of patient care. The Video platform must have image 1S sterile field Camera head control that allows safety control such as smoke evacuation, insufflation, light source control. The video platform must allow workflow efficiencies & safety features such as surgical smoke evacuation for patient and staff safety. Must have CLARA and CHROMA technology for better Optics and Visualization for improved surgical outcome: CLARA Identifies & enhances the brightness of isolated dark areas in an image in real time CHROMA Enhances red color contrast in real time to make small details stand out, for example, micro blood vessels. The video platform system components must have 2-year manufacture warranty The Rigid endoscopes must have 3-year manufacturer s warranty Training and service is provided by the designated local support team.
