Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the below Statement of Need. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. STATEMENT OF NEED Infusion System Devices Syringe Pump Modules The Philadelphia VA Medical Center requires 12 syringe pump modules and the corresponding system manager software for each device. The syringe pump modules must work with the existing Alaris infusion pumps. There is a national shortage of IV fluids that is expected to last quite a while. Currently, staff are required to push IV antibiotics manually over extensive periods of time; a task that could be more accurately and safely accomplished with the addition of the syringe pump modules to the IV pumps.
