The existing plaster and lathe ceiling in a specified area shall remain, with new conduits and devices installed below it. The contractor must assume plaster and lathe materials contain asbestos (ACM) and lead, and include hazardous material testing and abatement in the bid price. This project involves the construction of a dedicated IT network for the HVAC control systems at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York. The work must be substantially complete within 280 calendar days after the notice to proceed. The contractor must use the Autodesk Build platform and have all submittals approved before mobilization, as defined in the provided drawings and specifications. The new network will be an independent, air-gapped system using BACnet over IP to support existing and future direct digital controls. Bidders are highly recommended to perform a site visit.
