SUMMARY: The Veterans Affairs Western New York (VAWNY) Healthcare Facility located at 3495 Bailey Avenue Buffalo, New York, 14215 is seeking a one-time supply contract to purchase a new condensing and air handling unit for Building Six (6), Room Sixty-One (61). SPECIFIC TASKS: Supply one (1) Ten (10) ton condensing unit, air handler, and associated materials that matches the specifications provided within this statement of work (SOW). GENERAL SPECIFICTIONS: Per ASHRAE 62.1 recommendation, indoor air handling units will be stretch or shrink wrapped to protect unit from in-transit rain and debris. Units shall be UL and C-UL Listed. UNIT SPECIFICATIONS: The condensing unit shall meet the following specifications: Cooling Capacity: 117,000 BTUH Cooling Efficiency: 11.2 EER Maximum Fuse / Breaker Size: 60 Amps MCA: 40.6 Amps Nominal Tons: 10 Number of Circuits: 1 Refrigerant: R410A Sound Rating: 83 Decibels Voltage:208-240 / 3 phase An example of a condensing unit that meets these specifications is Arcoaire CAS121HAA0A00A. The air handling unit shall meet the following specifications: 2 Stage. Direct-Expansion Coil Face Area: 10.01 Sq/Ft. Fans Airflow Range: 3,000-5,000 CFM. Fans Nominal Airflow: 4,000 CFM. Fans Nominal Motor: 2.4 Horsepower. Maximum Fuse / Breaker Size: 15 Amps. MCA: 7.3/3.3 Amps. Nominal Tons: 10. Number of Circuits: 2. Operating Weight (Lbs.): 425. Sound Rating: 91.6 Decibels. Voltage: 208-240/3 phase 460/3 Phase. This will be a horizontal suspended unit that requires side panel access. Ability to have a rear return to connect to the preexisting economizer. Direct drive. If no stub-outs for coil connections are present on the unit, the vendor shall provide supporting fittings that is required for connection. The line-set and associated connections shall meet the following specifications: A minimum of forty (40) feet of ACR tubing. A minimum of forty (40) feet of ACR hard drawn tubing for suction. Twelve (12) long radius ninety (90) degree fittings. Two (2) T-fittings for 2-stage AHU. 1/2-inch wall Armacell Armaflex Insulation to include 1 pint of Armaflex 520 adhesive. Two (2) Sight glasses with brazed connection. Two (2) Filter driers with brazed connection. If another unit that meets the above specifications is provided ensure all line sizing is provided accordingly. DELIVERY SCHEDULE: The successful bidder shall deliver all goods purchased under this contract to 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215 within thirty (30) days of receiving the signed purchase order issued from the Contracting Officer (CO). VA INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA: Upon delivery of condensing and air handling units, the COR or designee will verify that the equipment satisfies this requirement, is complete, and free of defects and/or damage. The vendor shall be notified within 3 duty days of receipt of unacceptable materials. The contractor shall deliver replacement materials within thirty (30) business days of notification of unacceptable materials. QUALITY ASSURANCE: The vendor shall provide a one (1) year warranty on all parts and labor associated with repairs of the air handling and condensing units purchased under this contract.
