This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. It is neither a solicitation announcement not a request for quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be in writing and include a capabilities statement to Contracting Officer Daniel Zielinski, daniel.zielinski@va.gov, no later than 12/12/2024 at 10:00am EST. Telephone inquiries shall not be accepted. Qualifications The prime contractor and any subcontractors shall be National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) certified, bonded, and insured. Contractor shall furnish a copy of its up-to-date and current certification to the Contracting Officer prior to the start of the contract. General The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 2), as defined below, intends to award a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract to a qualified firm with the capacity and capability to perform, but not limited to, the following excerpt from the scope of work. This firm-fixed price requirement is for confidential document destruction container collection and removal services at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, located at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468, from 01/01/2025 to 13/31/2025, including four (4) option years. The contractor shall provide all labor, travel, equipment, and materials to perform the requirement. The contract shall perform all services in accordance with (IAW) local, state, and federal laws and ordinances. The contractor shall provide all required services identified in this section. Contractor shall provide 15 Totters, at no cost to the Government, with the following specifications: Totters shall accommodate 96 gallons or 200-300 pounds of material when full. Totters shall be easily mobile (have 4 wheels). Totters shall be plastic material. Totters shall be locked with lock and keys that are provided by the Contractor to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR). Totter shall have a slot on top of unit approximately 2 x17 . The contractor will not have to provide bins or consoles for generating areas. There are approximately 170 consoles within the facility which are Government owned. Contractor shall be responsible for collecting the locked containers from the holding area at the facility to Contractor s vehicle for on-site destruction. Contractor shall then return the empty containers to the same location after the shredding process is complete. Contractor shall strictly adhere to Federal, State and Local regulations, including VA Directive 6371, pertaining to the collection, handling, packaging and disposal of sensitive and secured material. Material can be shred on-site but the final shredding must be shred to a 1mm X 5mm size and shredded material must fit thru a filter with slots no larger than ¼ .
