This is a "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" only. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing to Contract Specialist Taylor Richter, taylor.richter@va.gov, no later than 05/27/2024 at 12:00 pm EST. Telephone inquiries shall not be accepted. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone and email (e) DUNS/SAM UEI number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) type of small business, e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business HUBZone business and (i) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. The Buffalo VA Medical Center (3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215) and Batavia VA Medical Center (222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020) have a requirement for a contractor to provide semi-annual kitchen hood cleaning and fire suppression inspection for one (1) base year with the provision of four (4) option years. Contractors shall follow all applicable OSHA Standards. General: All contractor employees shall possess an OSHA 10-Hour Training Certification. All testing, cleaning, inspecting, tagging, and reporting shall be done on accordance with the most current edition of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96. All fire suppression equipment shall be inspected in accordance with the most current editions of NFPA 96: Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations and NFPA 17: Standard for Dry Chemical Extinguishing Systems. The contractor shall provide NADCA Certified Air System Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) to manage all duct exhaust system cleaning, inspection, and reporting. The contractor shall possess the training and capabilities to perform permit required confined space entry as per OSHA Standard 1910.146. The NAICS Code is 561790 Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings with a Small Business size standard of $9.0 million. SDVOSB/VOSB vendors shall be registered in SBA VetCert. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Batavia and Buffalo VA Medical Centers.
