Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 4 of 4 Page 1 of 2 Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO 2), Cheektowaga, New York intends to solicit quotes from contractors to provide Snow & Ice Removal at the Northport VA Medical Center 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768-2200 under a single-award firm-fixed price contract. The VA anticipates issuing an RFQ for this requirement on or about October 12, 2023 to be posted to www.SAM.gov. This procurement will be solicited in accordance with FAR Part 12 Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the quote submission process. Perspective offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of submission of quotes. Contractors may obtain SAM information at https://www.sam.gov. NAICS Code is 561790 - Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings with a Small Business Size Standard of $9.0M. The classification code is: S218 Anticipated Solicitation Number: 36C24224Q0028. This solicitation shall be issued as a Small Business set aside request for quotations (RFQ). Period of Performance: 11/01/2023-03/31/2024 (5-months) with the provision of four (4) option years. All responsible Small Businesses under the identified NAICS may submit quotes to be considered by the Agency. MANDATORY SITE VISIT: On Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 9:00 AM EST. General Description: The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor, supervision, tools and materials necessary to maintain a snow and ice abatement plan for the campus. This shall include all roadways, egress points from buildings, sidewalks and surface parking. The Contractor shall monitor upcoming weather events, plan staff accordingly, arrive at the facility prepared to implement a rapid response to all snow and ice events and manage snow removal and stockpiling as weather events dictate. The Northport VAMC may request the Contractor onsite within one (1) hour of notification for unexpected weather events.
