These limit competition and local participation. AISC certification is required per the specifications so will not be waivered The Bid Form lists (3) Deduct Alternates, but drawings describe (5) Alternates. Please clarify. The project originally had five alternates included in the design, however it was decided to remove two of the alternates (#2 Canopy and #3 Pneumatic system) from the project completely. The VA does not have funds to alter the drawings to show the removal of alternates #2 and #3, however the removal of the two alternates is stated in the drawing notes. For this solicitation only alternates #1, #4 and #5 listed in the drawings are to be included in the submitted proposal. The following specifications are included in the specifications but do not appear in the table of contents. This pre-solicitation notice is to inform potential offerors that the Albany NY VA Medical Center will be posting a solicitation (36C24224B0037) on or about July 15th, 2024, to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the Consolidate Primary Care on 1st floor 1A bathroom project(528A8-22-816). This project is second part of phase 1A that will renovate 415 gross square feet of existing offices (C101, C102, C102A) to create a public men s and women s restroom across from the proposed consolidation of the primary care units (blue, red, and silver teams). At the conclusion of all this project the teams will be co-located on the 1st floor, occupying the C and D wings and the core area between them. The scope of this project (Phase 1A bathrooms) is to construct these public restrooms ahead of the creation of the common check-in facility construction across the hall. It has been determined that there are qualified firms in accordance with Public Law 109-461 that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 236220, "COMMERCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION", with a size standard of $45M. Therefore this procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The estimated construction value of this is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the Information for Bid Details, Specifications, Drawings and Contract Forms will be available on http://www.sam.gov in electronic format only. These should be available on or about July 15th, 2024. A Bidder's mailing list, list of interested parties and/or list of attendees at site visits WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contract Specialist.
