Solicitation Description This solicitation is to inform potential offerors that the Finger lakes Healthcare System; Canandaigua, NY and Bath, NY VA Medical Centers will be posting a solicitation (36C24224B0035) on or about July 3, 2024 for Replacement of Exterior Doors. All work to be perform at the Canandaigua, NY and Bath, NY VA Medical Centers. General scope of work includes: The general scope of this project is to remove and replace noted around 76 exterior doors and door systems across the VA Finger Lake Healthcare sites. Included in this work is also the restoration of selected historical word doors. Majority of the openings listed in the drawings are emergency egress doors. Contractor shall follow all requirements and procedures as set by the site for closure of any exit. This may restrict number of closures at one time and include temporary signage and barriers. Many openings contain alarms and increased security measures. Contractor shall maintain all security requirements through duration of the construction period. Some openings may require off tour work to ensure continuous operations of the facility as directed by the COR. It has been determined that there are enough qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Own Small Business (SDVOSB) firms that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 236220, " Commercial and Institutional Building Construction", with a size standard of $45.0M. Therefore, this procurement is 100% set-aside for a SDVOSB. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. It is anticipated this contract will be awarded o/a August 2024. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the information for bid details, specifications, drawings, and contract forms will be available on http://www.sam.gov in electronic format only. Should be available on or about July 3, 2024. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.sam.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation by the time of bid opening.
