Solicitation Description This solicitation is to inform potential offerors that Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center will be posting a solicitation (36C24224B033) on June 27, 2024, for connection of Natural Gas lines to ground and transportation. All work to be perform at the Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center. General scope of work includes: Grounds and transportation are currently on propane and the VA is looking to excavate from the main to grounds and transportation and convert existing equipment and replace water heater. The general scope of this project is to Demolition: Remove all existing in ground propane piping to ground level. Remove water heater. New work: Excavate from main to grounds and transportation running new gas line. Extend black iron piping in building to capture equipment above office space. Convert all heaters and install regulators at each piece of equipment. Replace water heater with natural gas tankless water heaters. Coordinate with NYSEG on connecting to main and natural gas meter. All construction will follow the plans and specifications as prepared by the A/E firm. It has been determined that there are enough qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Own Small Business (SDVOSB) firms that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 238220, "Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors ", with a size standard of $19.0M. Therefore, this procurement is 100% set-aside for a SDVOSB. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. It is anticipated this contract will be awarded o/a June 2024. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the information for bid details, specifications, drawings, and contract forms will be available on http://www.sam.gov in electronic format only. Should be available on or about June 18, 2024. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.sam.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. No other notification of amendments will be provided.
