NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to EMD Millipore Corporation., 397 Williams Street P.O. Box 9162, Marlborough, MA 01752-9162 for a one-year preventative maintenance agreement for the Milli-Q Advantage A10 and Elix Advantage 10 Water Purifications Systems located at the Buffalo VA Medical Center at 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215. The service agreement includes an annual preventative maintenance visit and unlimited troubleshooting/repair visits during normal business hours for the Milli-Q Advantage A10 and Elix Advantage 10. All work shall be performed by a qualified Field Service Engineer (FSE).  NAICS Code is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business Size Standard of $11 million. The classification code is J046 Maint/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment Water Purification and Sewage Treatment Equipment. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
