PURPOSE The VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System is currently seeking services necessary to provide preventative maintenance and as needed emergency (unscheduled) repair of Automatic Doors throughout our campuses. BACKGROUND Engineering Service is committed and proudly services the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Castle Point and Montrose Campuses, providing the best possible environment for healthcare to veterans and the highest standards of service to customers. We do this by improving and maintaining our physical structures and by providing the equipment, supplies, testing, and preventative maintenance necessary to support excellence in healthcare. SUMMARY The contractor must be responsible for scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs of electric & manual automatic doors. The work to maintain these doors must include repair and replacement of door curtains, weather stripping, reversing safety edge devices, channel guides, electric motors, controls, controls wiring, protective enclosures and mechanical parts. The contractor must inspect and service in accordance with the manufacturer s recommendations, prevailing industry standards and local, state, national, and international (where applicable) codes. ***Please review all the documents in its entirety.
