Answer: See SOW section III- The Contractor shall provide one staff member to provide janitorial services at the Harlem Vet Center at least three times weekly for about 2 hours. Question 3: What will be the hours of operation? Answer: See SOW section IV- Hours of Coverage. Question 4: What is the square footage? Answer: See SOW section I and V- 3,824 sq. ft. Question 5: Can we schedule a site visit? Answer: See SOW section III- There will be no site visit prior to award. Question 6: Could you confirm that this contract requires the contractor to pay its direct employees Class C at the hourly rate of $28.57 + HW? Could you provide information on the hourly rate of the health & welfare? Answer: Please see Wage Determination 1977-0225, revision 73 and refer any other questions to the Department of Labor (www.dol.gov/whd/govcontracts) Question 7: Will the government provide for janitorial storage space? Answer: There is a janitorial closet with slop sink. Question 8: Under SOW Section V: Major Duties, could you confirm that all listed tasks are daily tasks? If not, could you specify the frequency? Answer: Was informed there is no stove and no ceiling fans. All other duties are required three times a week. Question 9: Could you provide a floor plan if available? Answer: Not available. Pre-Solicitation Notice The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO 2), Cheektowaga, New York intends to solicit quotes from contractors to provide for Janitorial Services under a single-award Firm-Fixed Priced contract for the Harlem Vet Center, 2279 3rd Avenue, 2nd Floor, New York, New York 10035. The VA anticipates issuing an RFQ for this requirement on or about January 19, 2023 to be posted to www.SAM.gov. This procurement will be solicited in accordance with FAR Part 12 Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the quote submission process. Description: Vendor shall provide Janitorial Services, to include all necessary supplies, equipment, and personnel for janitorial services necessary for execution of this contract including, but not limited to: vacuuming, thorough cleaning/sanitizing of restrooms, empty & wash waste receptacles, cleaning offices, high dusting & low dusting, mopping all floors thoroughly, polishing furniture & cleaning furniture, cleaning stove and fridge exterior, clean inside windows, wipe ceiling fans, cleaning air vents, vacuum & clean elevators, sweep & mop steps. Vendor shall be required to provide technical capabilities and past performance during solicitation.
