The following questions were posed in response to the posting of solicitation RFQ 36C24223Q0124. The responses to the questions are provided in bold red. Will the current elevator maintenance contractor conduct the actual test while we (the elevator inspector) witness only?   No, third party conducts the inspections as an independent representative for the VA. Current Maintenance Contractor assists and provides. Do the facilities in Lyons and Essex currently have an elevator maintenance service provider that will operate the equipment and conduct the testing? Yes. If the answer is no, are you asking for us as the contractor to provide the following under this contract: a) elevator mechanical team to conduct the inspections, in addition to b) 3rd party QEI to witness the inspections? The bid document says it is for Annual Elevator Inspections, but the scope of work looks like it for testing by a maintenance company not annual inspections. Is 36C24223Q0124 for annual elevator inspections or to provide the testing for the annual inspections? Yes, these are required inspections as required by elevator codes. An annual and a five-year full load test. Attached is the inspection report for two of our elevators conducted in July.
