This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publicly available. Pre-Solicitation Notice for Solicitation 36C24223B0021-2; Project # 632-21-114 Replace Roof and Repair Façade Building 12. Work is located at the VA Medical Center at 79 Middleville Northport, NY 11768. This project will be 100% set-aside for VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. Competition for this procurement is restricted to verified VetBiz VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (VOSB) Contractors. The VOSB must be a small business under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in https://www.vetbiz.va.gov. This Project will replace the roofs and repair historical brick and stone facades. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work as required by the drawings and specifications. Work includes abatement, demolition, general construction, roofing, alterations, structural, mechanical, plumbing, lightning protection and electrical and other miscellaneous trades as required. Submittals for scaffolding, structural elements and safety-related items to be prepared by a Professional Engineer retained by the contractor. Period of Performance: Completion date is 360 calendar days from Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard: $39.5 million. IAW VAAR 852.219-10 the VIP listed VOSB. Prospective Contractor is required to perform a minimum of 25% of the construction work. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov; and must be registered at https://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. There will be a site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the site visit will be included in the solicitation document. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on/about September 20, 2023.
