This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. Any responses to this announcement will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated for this effort. Purpose and Objectives: The VISN 02, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, is issuing a notice of intent to pursue a non-competitive Firm-Fixed-Price set aside procurement to GSA for the purchase Food Waste Dehydrator. This set aside award to GSA is in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by way of the procedures outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.5. This Set Aside is authorized under FAR subpart 13.106-1(b)- solicitating from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of this contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This is not a request for competitive offers, quotes, or capability statements. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This Special Notice is being issued for information purpose only. The formal Justification & Approval for this action shall be posted on this site in accordance with FAR Part 6.305(a) within 14 days after final award.
