Answer: Is not believed that the inner tank contains a leak due to only finding water in the interstitial tank. No oil was found in the interstitial tank when it was pumped out. The SOW specifies that the interstital tank leak is believed to be near the connection at the riser. The contractor is in charge of locating the leak and repairing specific to the interstitial. Was the primary tank tested? Answer: Yes, this the tank was tested and passed. This is noted in the document "UST #7 Failed Test Report" provided by Metro Environmental Services LLC. The failed language is specific to the Interstitial. Are there any specifications on the tank mat replacement (i.e. concrete thickness, rebar, etc.)? Answer: Please C-3 of drawings 526-96-109. This will provide the concrete pad details. The SOW states that a copy of the tank test is included, can you please provide? Answer: Please refer to document "UST No. 7 Failed Test report".

This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24222Q0597 - Project Number 526-22-510 Fuel Oil Storage Leak Repair at James J Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 237120 and has a size standard of $39.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Scope of Work: The James J. Peters VA Medical Center is in need of an Environmental Service Contractor with construction capabilities to perform two tasks on site. Task #1 requires the contractor to locate the Unground Storage Tank leak failure by excavating and repairing the failure. The Contractor shall perform test post repairs. Task #2 requires the contractor to polish 6 Grade No. 2-D S15 fuel tanks. Project Completion: 45 Calendar Days from the Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) date. All other details and information, including drawings, specification, and complete statement of work shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on https://beta.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about 04/22/2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding.
