This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24222B0061, Project Number 632-22-138 Replace Fire and Smoke Doors at Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768-2200. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSBs may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $39.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 per FAR 36.204. Scope of Work: The contractor shall perform the following general work as indicated on the Bid Documents: The contractor shall remove and replace all frames and doors that are in this contract see Exhibit B, work shall include the reconstruction of the masonry or sheetrock walls that the doors are enclosed in, tape, spackling, two (2) coats of Benjamin Moore Primer and one (1) coat of Benjamin Moore Super Hide Eggshell Paint. Paint on doors and frames shall be Benjamin Moore Alkyd semi-gloss. All paint colors on doors and walls shall remain the same (match existing), all door hardware (i.e., cylindrical hardware, door closers, panic hardware) shall be replaced with the same as removed. All frames shall be H/M welded, and fire rated, all doors shall be H/M B-Labeled fire rated and be bored for 93K Best locking system or Van Duprin panic hardware with 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 (inch) ball bearing hinges. All doors shall have 5 x 20 (inch) view panels (safety glass), doors shall have installed LCN 1461 door closers. Door magnet articulated plates shall be removed and replaced on new door. Project Completion: The contract duration is 180 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on https://beta.sam.gov/. The solicitation will be released on or about August 31, 2022. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be in hardcopies. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All prospective bidders must be registered in SAM (www.sam.gov) with a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and are verified/visible/certified in VIP Vetbiz (www.vetbiz.va.gov) at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
