Information obtained through this notice may be used to determine the potential for issuing a future solicitation for this project with a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business(SDVOSB) set-aside, and to provide input for the Government's overall acquisition strategy. The scope of the project to Upgrade Patient and Freight Elevators in Buildings 11 and 200 at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. Contractor is responsible to provide labor, materials, and supervision to accomplish the following and meet agency and facility needs: Traction Elevators P1, P2, P3, F4 and F5 located in Building 200, and Traction Elevator located in Building 11 require critical and urgent upgrade and modernization at the Northport VA Medical Center. Interested parties are asked to provide the following information: 1) Business Name and DUNS number 2) Contact information 3) SDVOSB certification from Vetbiz 4) Bonding capability, including current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits 5) Brief capabilities statement that addresses experience performing similar projects as a prime contractor 6) Any certifications related to Elevator modernization 7) confirmation that your firm can complete at least 25% of the work as per Limitation to subcontracting as seen below. The applicable NAICS code is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a size standard of $16.5 million. Period of Performance is anticipated with construction beginning in December 2021 for one (1) calendar year. As this is a specialty construction there is a Limitation to subcontracting of 75%. Special trade construction contractors. In the case of a contract for special trade contractors, the contractor will not pay more than 75% of the amount paid by the government to it to firms that are not VIP-listed SDVOSBs as set forth in 852.219-10 or VOSBs as set forth in 852.219-11. Any work that a similarly situated subcontractor further subcontracts will count towards the 75% subcontract amount that cannot be exceeded. Cost of materials are excluded and not considered to be subcontracted.
